Hodgson Update, August 2014
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. When I last wrote, I had just concluded my adventure to Ngwala Prison. What a blessing to see how the Lord is working in the Tanzanian prison system!
After that trip we continued packing and closing our house as we prepared for our home assignment. We are especially grateful for our friends the Caraways for helping us before our departure.
I left the running of the Bible Correspondence Course in the capable hands of Pastor Daglas Kilindila, a local pastor in Mbeya. He will continue correcting lessons and returning them to students both inside and outside the prisons. He and Pastor Claveli Mzaliwa will also continue preaching the Gospel of the Grace of God twice monthly on a local radio station. Their broadcast reaches much of Southwestern Tanzania and is sparking much interest in renewed Bible study and examination.
We flew out of the Mbeya airport to Dar es Salaam on June 30th, and on July 1st we left Dar es Salaam. After a great time visiting with friends in Denmark, we returned to the United States and were greeted by our family. The next 4 weeks were a blur as we visited with as many people as we could manage and prepared for our cross-country trip and time in the Pacific Northwest.
We are staying with family in Colorado for the next week. Yesterday we had the privilege of sharing our ministry and had the opportunity to preach God's Word at Grace Memorial Church in Denver.
Kim has entered her third trimester of pregnancy, and is doing great. When we get to Portland we will meet her midwife and see the hospital where we will plan to have the baby in early November.
Please pray for us as we have many miles ahead of us over the next several months. Pray for Naomi and Elijah as they must be away from their Michigan family and spend many hours in the car.
