Hodgson Update, June 10, 2014
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings once again from Mbeya, we hope this email finds you well. We praise the Lord for a beautiful day here with clear skies and a cool temperature.
You may remember from our last update that Kim was very sick due to her pregnancy, and we are happy to report she is feeling much better now. She has had a few visits to the hospital and both she and the baby are healthy.
This weekend, Cory will be taking a trip to Ngwara Prison, which is quite a long trip. He and his colleagues will be bringing soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to meet some of the prisoners' physical needs, and Bible lessons, Bibles, and song books for meeting their spiritual needs. Please pray for safety on the dirt roads, and that the administrators at the prison will graciously accept our gifts and allow the prisoners free access to God's Word.
We are down to our last three weeks before we leave for home assignment. We have been working hard cleaning the house and giving away much of the detritus which has accumulated over the years. We are grateful that there is an American family that will stay in our house while we are gone.
As we leave, the Bible correspondence course will be handed over to Pastor Daglas Kilindila. Please pray for diligence and wisdom as he continues this important ministry, and that the Department of Prisons will allow the Grace Church of Tanzania access into the local prison.
We are thankful for the growth and challenges we have encountered through our last term here in Mbeya, and we eagerly anticipate seeing many of you and sharing how the Lord is using us.
In His Service,
Cory, Kim, Naomi, and Elijah Hodgson
