Dear Friends and Family,

We have come to develop a deep appreciation of the African honeybee.  This past Saturday evening we harvested ripe honey from the bee hives in our back yard.  We were joined by two Tanzanians interested in beekeeping, and despite a few stings they remained excited about the idea.  After collecting the honeycomb, we pick out all of the bees and then squeeze the comb to extract the honey.  We filter the honey but do not boil or process it in any way.  Yesterday we processed nearly 3 gallons of pure honey! We currently have four hives on our property here in Mbeya, and all are occupied by large swarms. The bees and their hard work are amazing, and how much more amazing is their Creator!  We praise God for such an amazing creature and for the sweet honey.

We continue to host many guests at our house.  What a blessing to serve our other missionaries in the area of hospitality!  We have been working hard to create a consistent schedule for our family amongst our many guests and interruptions in our "normal" life.

Cory's colleague Pastor Sinkonde has been traveling for the past month advertising and answering questions regarding the Bible correspondence course.  We are also making progress towards gaining permission to work in the local jail here in Mbeya, please pray that the various processes of law and government are fulfilled and we can move forward with this important ministry.
